I have to be thankful for those little mom & pop shops, those hole in the wall bakeries that you only found by some random chance miracle, but that had the most UH-MAZING whatever and you'd now just die imagining your life without! Well... in a tiny bakery, in this little island, off the coast of this little resort town, near a little city in Australia, I found such a place and they make these incredibly delectable pastries with some kind of a vanilla cream filling, with fresh fruits on top... oh! It was divine. So there you have it. That dessert... whatever it's called. That's what I'm thankful for today.
The Song of Life
Just like your favorite song, life is full of those ups and downs, taking you places you never dreamed, and showing you that it's not really so bad, and totally worth it in the end. This is my story, my little laugh out load, sometimes awkward, crazy yet hilarious moments shared purely to spare me boredom but also for your entertainment. Alas, without further ado....

365 Grateful Project: Day 4
![]() |
| Someone sent us an entire pecan pie for the holidays! |
Today, I am especially grateful for all of those patriotic supporters that we have cheering for us back at home. There have been packages, letters and prayers galore from Americans showing their support for the troops and the war. In today's Army, the ideal soldier isn't the same ideal soldier that we show honor to from wars past.. it was a different place, a different time, with issues all their own. I am thoroughly grateful to those men and women who placed their lives on the line every day.. Some of our biggest supporters are old Army war veterans. Because of our loved ones and Americans like these, being away from home for year on/year off deployments is a little more bearable. Thank you for your love and graciousness!
